These two works reflect on the freedom to choose who we are and on the way each experience leaves its mark upon our identity. Through symbols of tradition and elements drawn from collective memory, painting becomes a reflection of the human condition — of the limitations inherited through belief, and of our capacity to turn feathers into wings and follow a destiny of our own, breaking away from collective patterns imposed by family and society.

What may initially appear as a biblical passage becomes, for the artist, a form of satire: a questioning of the idea that evil is created by an external presence. Instead, the work suggests a force that does not reside exclusively within either good or evil, but within the human capacity to choose between them.
